“The Growth Leadership Framework, to me, encapsulates a new and unfamiliar way of taking in the world.  The path to learning is fraught with mistakes, and we need to embrace that.”

Mike Sliter (Ph.D.)

Mike is a partner at the Center for Growth Leadership and the Managing Director of The Team Psychology and Effectiveness Center of Excellence

Mike is a senior consultant at O.E. Strategies, serving as a trusted advisor for local, domestic, and international partners. Mike is engaged in a broad array of industries, including entertainment and technology, insurance and banking, and hospitality.  His primary contacts, ranging from recruiters to C-suites, appreciate his ability to blend science and practice.

“I take a deep dive into the context of my partners,” Mike says, “while still maintain a wide-eyed outsider’s perspective.  I ask questions to challenge our understanding.”

Mike has published over forty peer reviewed articles in top psychology journals, such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Journal of Occupational Health Psychology.  He serves on the editorial boards to several peer-reviewed journals.

Prior to O.E. Strategies, Mike served as a consultant in a technology-driven selection and assessment firm.  He began his career as a professor in the Psychology department at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, teaching and researching in the M.S. program.  He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Bowling Green State University, Ohio and his B.A. in Psychology (summa cum laude) from Hiram College, Ohio.

For fun, Mike hangs out with his kids, writes creatively, and will play racquetball for as long as his knees will allow.

“Our goal is to partner with intensely curious people who would like to expand themselves and those around them.  The GLF situates deep self-knowledge and serves as a springboard to leading through complexity.”
