Given the continuous great feedback regarding having a guest speaker as part of our MBASD mixer event, London Business School is happy to repeat that with another great speaker. This time we will feature Josh Franklin, a leading business trial lawyer from San Diego who will talk about "Mitigating the Cost of Litigation" – something we all want to avoid if it ever gets to that. So please ensure that you mark your calendars for an informative event on Thursday Jan. 23, 2025.
In his presentation “Mitigating the Cost of Litigation”, Josh will cover the following key topics in a way that it is understandable and useful for business professionals:

Josh Franklin a leading business trial lawyer and partner at Franklin Soto Leeds LLP in San Diego. His practice focuses primarily on business litigation and insurance coverage/bad faith litigation. Josh regularly represents businesses as both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of matters, including in disputes with their insurers. Before forming Franklin Soto Leeds LLP, Josh handled complex commercial litigation matters with several law firms, including Arnold & Porter LLP, and served as a criminal prosecutor for nearly five years.

He has tried approximately fifty jury trials in his career across a broad range of civil and criminal cases, ranging from insurance bad faith to securities fraud to first-degree murder, among others. He is admitted to practice in California, New York, and Colorado.
The event will start on Thursday January 23th, 2025 at 5:30pm. Our guest speaker will start at 6pm with a short presentation (about 15 minutes) and then answer questions from the audience (another 15 minutes). After that Josh will stay with us until the end of the event and be available for more individual conversations.
We will have a separate room in the back that is reserved for us only (so that you can enjoy and hear the speaker well), but obviously you are also free to venture out into the bar or patio area. Appetizers will be provided for free.
